From 2019-2020, I studied Gagaku with members of the Shitennōji troupe Garyokai in Ōsaka, and therein shō with Kinuyo Hayashi. Since then, Gagaku and shō practice and research have been vital parts of who I am. I continue to give semesterly lectures on the shō at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and have commissioned many new works for shō in an attempt to bring more awareness to Gagaku music and the shō. This page is dedicated to everything shō.
