Duo Holz, an eclectic duo featuring Aysel Taghi-Zada (Violin/Viola) and Michael Murphy (Percussion/Sho), is a classical ensemble committed to showcasing Canadian voices through new, modern repertoire of music written mostly for them. Their performances include appearances at the Music Gallery, Din of Shadows, the Harbourfront Centre’s Summer Music in the Garden, a residency at the Canadian Music Centre, and Koerner Hall’s 21C Festival. Recent record contributions include Sophie Dupuis’ Comme Bon Lui Semble (2023), Paolo Griffin’s Supports and Surfaces (2024), and Chris Paul Harman’s Works (2019-2023) (2024).
